Goodison Park, home to premier league team Everton FC, has renamed its former Blues 100 suite the 85 Lounge in memory of one of the club’s finest winning seasons – when, in 1985, they won the First Division league and went on to beat Rapid Vienna 3-1 in Rotterdam to win the European Cup.
As part of a major refurbishment the 85 Lounge’s facilities have also been upgraded and the layout has been altered to maximise space and offer increased seating versatility.
In addition, the 1878 Brasserie Suite has been completely remodelled and now incorporates a glass-walled, break out meeting room or buffet area, along with booth-style seating.
The suite also boasts a wooden floor surrounded by a contemporary grey and black carpet in keeping with its new colour scheme.
Goodison Park has a total of nine conference and events suites – which can cater for up to 300 people – and Sodexo Prestige, which manages the conference and banqueting facilities at the stadium, is offering day delegate packages from as little as £19.95 per person.
The basic package includes free room hire, lunch and refreshments throughout the day, along with state-of-the-art audio visual technology, free parking for up to 300 cars, free Wifi, multi plasma widescreen TVs, air conditioning and stationery.
In addition, Sodexo’s award winning team of chefs can cater for any requirement, from hot bacon rolls for breakfast meetings to hot fork buffets or formal, seated lunches for an extra charge.
Goodison Park boasts a number of executive, pitch-side boxes with uninterrupted views of the hallowed turf, which are ideal for smaller meetings, lunches or dinners. Conference organisers can also impress their guests by combining business meetings with a dinner and a tour of the famous stadium.
The rates apply to events taking place between 8am and 5pm and the £19.95 rate applies to parties of no fewer than 40 people.
