Designed to deliver uninterrupted displays of heated or refrigerated foods in front of house positions, these square glass screens are ideal for restaurants, delis, coffee shops and retail sites with a catering arm.
One such location that recently incorporated Victor’s square glass gantries into its foodservice offering is Planet Organic, advocates of authentic and ethical, freshly prepared foods. With the focus on natural, wholesome groceries as well as nutritious and seasonal organic produce, Planet Organic offers groceries, baked goods as well as a comprehensive range of beauty products. The counter at Planet Organics new Devonshire Square store features a refrigerated salad well, two wet well bains marie units for the hot main meals and a small heated recessed well for the effective presentation of savoury pies and pasties.
As Synergy units are the working components of a foodservice counter they provide an economical alternative to the full bespoke counter. This offers the smaller operator the chance to build up a counter run at a pace to suit, and allows operators the opportunity to add to an existing counter run, as and when capacity dictates.
The squared off glass options, bonded with UV cured adhesive, offer a modern stylish alternative to the bevelled-edge curved screens of toughened glass that already figure in a variety of sizes in Victor’s specifications.
The Synergy line of drop-in units is designed to ‘drop’ into a counter surface to form a functional servery counter and includes 10 refrigerated models and five heated models. Controls are housed in the gantry hood or, in the absence of a gantry, in a remote panel mounted on the counter body.
The heated models maintain the temperature of hot food by providing heat from below, supplemented by quartz halogen heat lamps from above. Both the top and lower levels are fully controllable. The controls are housed in the gantry hood or for models without gantries, in a remote panel that mounts on the counter body within one metre of the unit.
The refrigerated range features blown air decks, wells, deli’s and multi-tiers. Designed to meet the EN ISO 23953 standard in use, Victor refrigerated Synergy units will maintain the core product temperature of pre-chilled food below 5°C in ambient temperatures up to 27°C & 50% relative humidity. Units are illuminated by fluorescent tube and all controls are mounted on the top for easy access. All units have self-evaporating condense systems and require no plumbing.
Clever engineering means the products now use 50% less electricity than previously, thereby helping caterers to both save money on day to day running costs and cut their carbon footprint. The products are produced to higher specifications than ever before making them the some of the most advanced chilled displays on the market today. Prices begin at £1235 – all available through distributors nationally.
