Interviewed on Sky Sports Soccer AM programme, Amy-Louise named Liverpool’s “Scouse Pie” as her all time favourite.
Amy-Louise loved the pie which is made from potatoes, onion, carrots, swede, beef and finished off with a delicious puff pastry top. She says: “It was amazing, sizeable and great value for money.”
Clayton Park Bakery’s Managing Director, Barry Thomas is thrilled by this accolade and says: “This is a very popular pie, made exclusively for the club in conjunction with the club’s catering team. Our seasoning gives the pie a great taste and the mouth watering puff pastry top gives it a satisfying finish. We are happy to work with clubs to develop pies that are unique to them and the scouse pie was an early winner at Liverpool in our ongoing quest to source top quality ingredients for the very best pies.”
Kieran Tingle, Public Retail and Commercial Manager at Liverpool FC says:” Excellent pies are a fundamental part of the match day experience for our fans and we are very pleased by this recognition for our exclusive scouse pie. From the very early stages of their contract with us, the Clayton Park Bakery team has been very helpful and supportive, working closely with us to develop this outstanding pie.”
The bakery’s links with the Liverpool area are well established; they are a proud sponsor of the Marina Dalglish Appeal for cancer services.
